How to Edit Your Public 7 Days To Die Server Details

7 Days to Die features five settings that control how your server appears in the public server list. All of these can be changed in your serverconfig.xml file.

ServerName

The ServerName property changes the name of your server as shown in both the in-game browser and the Steam server viewer. You can set this to whatever you like.

ServerDescription

The ServerDescription property lets you display important information about your server. When a player clicks on your server in the browser, this description is the first thing they'll see.

ServerWebsiteURL

The ServerWebsiteURL property adds a clickable website link below the server description in the server browser.

ServerPassword

The ServerPassword property lets you set a password to restrict access to your server. For more details, see our guide on How to Make Your 7 Days to Die Server Private.

ServerLoginConfirmationText

The ServerLoginConfirmationText property displays a message box before a player loads into the server world. The player can then choose to continue joining or leave the server.
